In search of a high clocking budget CPU....I failed!
CPU locks up at 379FSB :(
Maxed out all the usual volts. FSB, NB etc.On phase.

Oh well, the search continues. Another CPU will be on its way to me shortly

Dualist had the same problem with a Celeron 420 :(
Dave was using a cascade but had a limit just over 400MHz i think
My crappy E4500 limits at 370MHz on air, i tried a lot of things but nothing gave any real improvements. Some are just lucky with FSB i guess....

Yep I wonder if we should post steppings or something for the budget chips we know hit low FSB limits and the ones that have hit high FSB also?
My E2140 will be surplus to requirements by end of next week- its first boot was at 400FSB under water :)
Stable at 420FSB ishhh under water, has seen over 460FSB under dice

I have e2140 on water 400fsb was about the limit and that takes 1.45v to be stable i know theres more there i just need time to look at some other tweaks like maybe pll volt how much can this affect stability?

1.45v isn't much at all. PLL voltage effects FSB, try upping it to 1.6v
