I managed to get hold of a X6800 this weekend to play with. First time with an unlocked multi so had a load of playing around with it, but here's my scores and results :D

Chip had a crappy IHS that was not level at all, check out the top left and also the bottom left contact marks. After checking it worked on filthy air I then lapped the bugger.

1M prime was pretty good, got 10.5ish secs. I can bench on everything at 4.9ghz (been playing Crysis at that speed too), anymore than that and I get lock up :@

I've noticed though that most scores over the 5ghz mark on hwbot are LN2 or mega cooling. My cascade is dipping into the -60's on load so I need to get my finger out, I am building another cascade with two 31cc rotaries that should cure my problem but this is the best suicide shot I could do, but atleast I got the 5ghz :D

Good going Dave :)

Is that -60C on speedfan and if it was what was the evap temperature?

Can you run 489MHz x 10 multiplier with stability?

That was -60ish in speed fan, evap side temp was -83C.

I can run 10x 490 no problem, at these temps she's a 4.9ghz chip regardless of combination of multi. :waiting:

@ Sacha, yep she's solid to 3D work, just got to re-volt mod my card again and slap the water blocks back on.

@Mav, yep already done it ;)

I will post the new cascade build here once I get my bits from Patrick but here's (http://www.thermo-skunk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2) what I've got so far, hope to be finished around christmas and new year :D

Nicely done Dave! When you planning on doing the Vcore mod for your board?

Very nice - good motivation to do something with my own one that's stuck in an AsRock board :O

I have a crappy board, which doesn't let you change multiplyer. It's a decent one though. Does 4.2GHz (1.6v) on air (ThermalTake SonicTower).
