I can get you a set, PM, MSN blah blah blah

Pretty cool huh, weight a bit, all solid, and i cleaned them up in some cheap ketchup to make all shinny for 10 mins

The NB? IHS came off when i pulled the stock cooling when i first got the bord month ago. Going extreme is what i am

Nah the ATV black slicion is good stuff. It's ASUS and there TIM they used to joint the NB's IHS to the NB HSF/WC block. Same as on the SB. It's hard to clean, IPA will not but Acidtone aka Nailpolish remover (not mine personly) gets it off. Most use a hairdryer now as a lot of the bords died due to stock cooling be removed and NB going with it, thats the full NB die and waffer as to just the IHS!

i'm sure there was something on xs about it, but xs seems to be down, atleast for me

Aye all documneted in the early pages 2/3/4 i think @ XS on the Maxiums Formular topic

Thanks all, NB didn't come today, i'm not happy so more time with it out of action!

Pete

Finaly NB block come today. Fesser Black UV is a mega PITA as it froths up loads.

Anyway im still bleeding air out and leak testing, hopefully tormrow i will get system back up and running. 6ft of hose was just enough, 8ft been much safer and better

my bad, as it should have clicked from the clear pics and the res. I recently saw that you could get the black stuff and assumed it was that

All that in 1 loop?

Pjalchemist

Yeah 1 loop, it'd be fine, i wanted it clean and simple. Once my new stuff comes this will be my new something, media pc, download server, cad/cam unit, host, network i duno something. Might even stick it outside latter tonight and see what -3c does for it like it was at 1am here last night!

X38 performce like an X48, low heat and volts!

My CPU does 4ghz stable on stock cooler, so it'll be better under water i hope. Stuck the Q6600 back in.

GTX is an A2 core, not that hot on water, not OC'd at the mo but it will be soon. No vod mods yet ether.

Tubing is the good old masterclear with black fesser, i like the sliver barbs showing inside the tubing with the black!

I left it leak testing last night and was fine, finaly all the air is out the the fesser has stop being like an eplictic.

Im off to finsh the build and set up my 4 raptors again, grr.

Hopefully it's all alive still, the GTX did bend a bit and the NB i had to fit the IHS back on as the block was toucing the SMD's, the die is not as high as non IHS'd chipsets! I can still pull the IHS off so i have best of both worlds!

Totaly silent as well.

Oh i have the quad thing in the fuzion as well!

Pete

:p

Is your stock cooler modded to run water or something? Those temps are pretty awsome (assuming they're right...) for a quad @4ghz. Add onto the voltage (again CPU-z isn't known to be hugely accurate when it comes to voltages) and you'd expect the stock cooler to be melting into your motherboard!

Hell I'd LOVE to see temps like that from watercooling with my 6600/6300 running <1.5v never mind a quad at nearly 1.6... Would love to know your secret (c'mon, where you got the LN2 hiding :P)

Doesnt really show it being stable to be honest Pete.

Nothing magic. Just i got the best chip i could out of what the shop had. Went through them all looking for the best codes.

Check the OC topic more info there

No ya right but if ya check the topic more info in there. Nero file conversion to dvd and a long game on Crysis prove it was

unlucky. Do you know why it went faulty? Was it through heat damage/ static/ physical abuse/ component failure?

Hopefully better luck with the new card :)

Think it was cos the card bent when i fitted the EK GTX block. I'm scared of fitting it to the new working one. Just did the old switcharoo and took back the dead card i bought which was slightly differnt but both the same and got a full refund. Could of been static but probs the block, they fit very differnt to stock cooler!

Aye it's putting me off big time. Also giving me more reason to throw in the towle more so with a few recent events!
