As this is the system bench section, the only specs of any great relevance are cpu frequency and ram timings and frequency. An ideal syntax for this is :

time - cpu @ frequency,ram @ frequency timings

Example : 12.35 - Core 2 q6600 @ 4000 mhz,ddr2 @ 500 mhz 4-4-4-12

Ram speeds to be listed at actual frequency (in cpuz) not ddr rates (2x)

Please keep screenshots to a maximum of 800 x 600.Include as much info in the image as possible, cpu and memory cpuz's,memset, etc. Also include a watermark on images to prevent theft of your efforts wherever possible.

It's a good idea to check with hwbot's hardware specs to find out exactly how to list your hardware to enable the bot to pick up your post correctly.E.G. Intel 2.4ghz quad will not work, that needs to be Core 2 q6600.Please check before posting for a trouble-free submission.

A more detailed description can be added in the description box on hwbot if you want, but we need to keep the character count down in the main post of each benchmark,to enable us to display as many sub rankings as possible.

DONT USE MULTIPLE HYPHENS, it confuses the bot. only one is allowed.
EG
SCORE - cpu @ speed / GFX @ speed / RAM @ speed @ timmings(4,4,4,12 )

Pluss, ram timmings arnt nececery for the bo. if you want it to show more detail, add it through hwbot site.

sorry for the random post.

Here's a transparent BenchTec watermark (.png), so you can put it over your image to stop people stealing it and using it as their own!

If you PM/ email me I can plonk your username in the middle like I have done with my recent HWbot submissions (and adjust the colour/ transparency to your preference).

Nice one Stocky. Everyone should use this if they can.

----

Do not quote HW bot scores as the bot will think this is your score.

lol. just use a unique backdrop. mine is Reddwarfs starbug. quite a small pic in size, so it dont use up much memory either, so its not worth turning it off for that little extra(maybe 100 points on aqm3.)

I'm sorry, but i have used that method of submitting on many entries to hwbot ever since hwbot started without ever having an issue even once,so i don't see how the bot is confused if it works.Yes ram timings aren't needed for the bot,but they do make it easier to see at a glance how 2 similarly clocked similar cpu's could have quite different results, particularly on our own forum leaderboard.

I’m submitting scores on hwbot.org rather than posting them on forum for bot to pick up.

Also thanks to Stocky for sorting out watermark ;).

I do the same :)

No problem - if anyone else fancies a BenchTEC Watermark with instructions just drop me a PM of what you would like (colour/ tag etc) :)

If you can do one with my username Stocky that would be cool,
I might need a little help with how to add it as a transparent image though. photo editing is not my thing.

PM Sent :)

To add a watermark to an image I use Adobe Photoshop, but you can use anything that supports layers. I found this which looks interesting (and it's free!): http://www.getpaint.net/

Anyway, just open your screenshot then paste the watermark (.png) onto a new layer above the screenshot.

You can then merge/ flatten the image or just directly compress/ save it as a .jpg and upload it to HWbot

I hope that helps :)
