View Full Version : SuperPi 32M @ 3600MHz
Will split into 2MB, 4MB, 6MB CPU categories as results roll in.
Will not separate DDR3, the performance boost should be clear. All results require Memset and CPU-Z main windows, as well as the SuperPi window, obviously.

Kenny, I don't understand what the 2,4,6mb categories is about if you're just benching 32mb.?
D.

Hmm....
Not a good night.
Did run same specs as Kenny but lost it all some how but this IS actually my best run :(

System.. 2x sataII drives in raid0, a pair of PC9200 reapers (2gb), full install with SP2 (not stripped).
Edit..// can't understand why my memory clock speed is different in cpu-z and memset as it's as it is in the bios with cpu-z, odd.

For reference I ran my X6800 on my P5W at 345*11 (3.8ghz) ram at 516mhz on an unoptimised everyday gaming system, no tweaks, with full mcafee running.
Oh the only thing I did was set spi to realtime in priority setting and core 1 affinity.
14m 14s was the total.
So anything under this at 200mhz slower has got to be good.
Cheers

Here's another reference run at 3.8ghz with all the details for you - so you can see that with 200mhz less speed - there is a lot to goain by stripping things out and following the filecopy and tweakage etc....

Your tweaks work really well Kenny :D
Nice results, still need to play with timings though but it's a start. Gets me second and knocks 16 seconds off my original score, he he :D

I do prefer SMP type of benchmarks like wPrime as it's just balls out on all cores :D

I'll start the 6MB ball rolling:-
http://premium1.uploadit.org/jokester//6mb-3600sp32mb.jpg
12min 30.25s
Think it would be a fair bit faster if I could get it to run 480x7.5.
Edit: This chip isn't affected by PLL voltage, stock voltage works all the way up to 470-475MHz.

Hey Vento,
That's a great score - can I ask what Ram you are using with that X38 board?
Hmmmm...back to the drawing board!

Im not sure I fully understand the 2mb 4mb 6mb thing though?
Edit: Sorry yes I understand. Kenny is this 'AIR' only or any cooling allowed?

PC9200 reapers with 2.6volts rammed up it's back side. :D
You gonna update the scores on the doors Kenny.?? :waiting:
scores will be updated once the first batch of scores are transferred over from the MSI comp :p
2MB 4MB 6MB categories are for CPU cache
any cooling for 3600MHz. Its not a hard target unless its an E2140 TBH :p

My recent submission. This was done using a Rampage Extreme, E8500, Ballistix PC3 8500 , one sata drive and a 640mb file which i cut and pasted from C/ to D/ to C/. Then i ran Pi and got that. Never ran Pi1m first or anything else.

Skull, didnt realise your ram was just 8500. thats even more impressive, what was the 'real' running ram speed on your run?
are the speeds shown above 'actual' speed? if so for lower rated ram thats VERY impressive!

Hi,
Dipsta if you set all voltage to auto its likely your ram is only getting 1.8v???
Try giving em 2.1-2.2v or whateva thier stock voltage should be .
Here's my 65nm run from the compo>>>

For Refferance,
Tiny xp on sata drive, 2 old 18gig ide drives set in a software stripe- Spi and spi tweak tool on 34gig and a 512 page file set in the last 1gig. Wazza file size of 688mb using the spi tweak tool. All non essential services turned off- diagnostic mode, 600mb mem set size, explorer process off, Spi32m se to Realtime and one cor in Affinity...

as far as i know, thats the speed of the ram. I set it to 1921mhz in the bios. The Rampage loved this ram, and would even run it @ 2001mhz (999.5mhz actual) which blew me away. The timings where fairly similar at those two speeds too. So yeah, im well impressed with these sticks.
