Thought I would share my results in case anyone else out there has one of these hot little buggers...

First as a comparison here are the figures with the stock cooler: (Case open)

Idle - Normal

Idle - 100% Fan

Load - Normal
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n277/mickeybluepants/StockStdLoad.jpg

Load - 100% Fan
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n277/mickeybluepants/StockFullLoad.jpg

I also did some clocked tests with 725core/1750shader/1000ram to check the temps again but in each case it only made between 0 & 2 degrees difference...

So onto the Accelero...

First ya whip off the horrible stock thingy & then clean everything up nicely...

After cleaning thoroughly & slapping on the ramsinks (please excuse grubby paws)

No I cannot reccommend strongly enough that you buy some good aftermarket thermal tape, cos the tape on the back of the ramsinks is little more than double sided sticky tape & a crap 99p Poundland one at that ;)

The S1 is a bit of a beast & comes with MX1 already applied... Now the heatsink itself is a doddle to install once u've done it once and burned the translated japanese instructions!

U slap the cooler down on the desk & then lay the card ontop, only 4 screws hold it in place, so they decided as a bit of an afterthought (IMO) to add these stoopid clips. Easiest way is to attach the clips onto the card before dropping it onto the HS & not the way they tell you in the instructions...

Anyway it should now look like this:

Next, being me & not being content with things being standard I decided to add a ghetto modded 120mm fan into the mix...

I used some 1" cut offs of 1/2" pipe to use as standoffs to create maximum effect & then cable tied the fan on through the tube...

Here's what it now looks like:

More results etc to follow tomorrow after this happened: http://www.benchtec.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=352

Yea, ramsinks came with it, but read what I said about the thermal tape...

This cooler is sposed to keep the GT under 50deg full load with fans added

I've never seen or used that cooler before, so I guess it must be a new one! It looks amazing, and great pics too :)

Try to find some extra sinks for the FETs if you can- should improve stability and boost the lifetime.

I think theres a dedicated cooler for that section of G80/G92 cards- costs a few quid, is on Ebay. Im not sure if the spacing is the same for the new cards, but in theory, it *should* be.

Also- keep an eye on the RAM sinks- the RAM on my GTS runs so hot, 2 of the sinks fell off!

for the core- thats a decent drop over stock :D nVidia did a poor job of the reference one :(

Don't do what i did and buy the RHS -88 Zalman companion cooler. Its totally incompatible with the GT.
I'm using the Zalman VF1000 LED. And it's phenomenal. Easy to fit, and i rarely see any temps above 50c.

Im using that on my 8800GT, and it's an incredible cooler. Keeps it below 50oC even overclocked.
