That's extremely impressive, but prime stable is not as interesting as some suicide benches.

What is this term "Prime Stable" ?

Pneumonic may I ask what batch that cpu is, will be written on the side of the box as the FPO# "L7......."

Prime stable for me is as interesting as suicide shots.
It shows that the pc can be used in real world environments 24/7
And getting prime stable is a lot harder than suicide shots.
Its nice to see and I will always see how fast I can push my rig and have it 100 % stable.
Then the real fun can begin.
Thats a very nice clock on air and the prime stabilty should be Commended.
When I played with my C2D 6400 Asus P5B and Phase It was very easy to max the hardware.
Pump volts through the chip and up the FSB until I ran out.
Mobo carped out at 515 FSB
Very easy to do.

It's when the system can run the wPrime benchmark stable, thus 'Prime Stable'
I think it's interesting to see the top stable speed at certain volts with a set cooling and just as interesting to see a max unstable speed (suicide shot).

Lol, judging from weescott's sig, I've an inkling he already knows the answer.

Yes indeed! Someone that doesn't know might find it handy
What volt settings is that run at?

As long as it stable enough to do the benchmark we want and get the most points we can for the team then thats all that matters. ;)
I can't see there being any "My PC fails Prime95 after 5hrs" threads here.
neither P95 nor OCCT will go ANYWHERE near my computer until theres a leaderboard with a performance chart of MHz to stability time set up..... :D
I vote both are added to the list of offensive words :p

Rofl... & agreed totally!
Wot a total waste of 8hrs benching time :D

unfortunatly box was binned and cpu has been lapped
hehe and I no its not your "thing" here but I wanted top spot on the Quad database at OCUK hense the run :) CPU is now "Prime stable" for 8 hours @ 4023GHz still on air..
seems odd as for benching it wont go past 4.1.. even tried 1.6 vcore, 1.7 PLL and 1.7 Northbridge voltage... running with 1 stick of RAM at stupidly lose timmings... I know 1.6 vcore isnt "huge" but that 4.023 run was only @ 1.55 vcore and that was more than it needed.. do i really need that much more?

It needs the cold mate to get you some better clocks, 4 gig is around the norm for a watercooled 6600 so 4gig on air is very good, get the single stage straped to it and you should see 4.4-4.5 gig from that chip with 1.7v on the core and 1.8v for the PPL

yeah just Q6600 and they are all water and air cooled
