i wonder how much of an improvement that will actually give?

I think the fact it comes with watercooling is neater, saves a lot of hassle as long as the barbs can be easily changed out to take 10/8mm, 3/8" and 1/2"

Then again, I'm not exactly an extreme bencher xD

will it need insulation then? as if it does, to actually use the pot, you will need to void the warranty

That does look interesting i like the fact that the heatsinks are held on with screws and not the plastic crap the rest use.
And you would need some insulation around that pot for sure.

That surely can't be for retail release - as what percentage of the market are actually going to use a pot on their northy?!

Nice going though - Foxconn have definitely been successful in getting our attention ready for the release of their new boards, don't you think = good marketing? :waiting:

The Black Ops board is reported to have some nice features. Foxconn managed to acquire 2 of DFI's promising young engineers last year to ensure some of the 'Wu' philosophy and design expertise is a part of their products. We also have Shamino to consider as a valuable asset for Foxconn.

The market for the extreme add-ons is very elite and is sure to raise unit prices. By and large, I've heard some good things about this board (for benchmarkers that is), I am looking forwards to testing one...

I'm looking forward to seeing your results from the testing!

Thanks for that extra information there - I'm very interested in these new offerings from Foxconn.

i would think the ln2 pot would be an optional extra or on a more expensive board, eg the water/air one is £150 and the ln2 is £300...

Madness I tell you! Although, that kind of makes you obliged to use it

If Foxconn are mass producing it, not a lot at all. And in turn, it gives the motherboard package a significantly higher perceived value to the consumer which means that Foxconn can demand more money for it!

...still waiting for the UK RRP on this :waiting:

That, my friend, is the question on everyone's mind. Hopefully it'll be within most people's reach, because I'd love to see a board like this be a huge success for Foxconn to encourage others to follow suit :)
