Hi Guys,

As we awaiting some new bits, borrowed some crucial to play with (test)

Mb unmodded P5B E2140.
the fsb seems to run out at around 438 good for superPi 1m only, 437 superPi 32m, 1024wprime pics below.
memory seems to hold up well, not sure if it mem topped or fsb, i think the cpu has got some more to give.

Volts cpu 1.5ish dosn't help raising to 1.65, memory 2.35, fsb max, nb max.

Its water cooled at present in the garage 6C cpu temp 18c loaded
Your thoughts and suggestions, Mine at present get voltmodded

Did you try running the ram 1:1 to see if that helped?

656mhz 32m superpi stable is a great result for that ram mate.

Yes i did 1 to 1, but still topped out a 438fsb, seems to be the wall.

also tried 4.4.4.12 this was good for 530 mem only cant remember fsb but the mem gave up before we hit 438.

I think we want a vmod on the nb and fsb

Ahhh

Try 5-4-4-12 and 4-5-5-12 see if they are stable.

Still 1060mhz at 4-4-4-12 - not bad at all is it? but I guess the performance (as in benchmark results) is better at 645 (1290) 5-5-5-15?

Cheers

Mav

656MHz SPi 32M is great :) The RAM should do 4-4-4 to at least 570MHz if the volts are there, after that- 5-5-4 timings will be best for higher MHz.

The E2140s usually cap out around where yours is :) Yours is not shabby either ;) A lot dont make it over 400!
