Hey,
I love bashing old vegetables! In particular my celeron 1100A Tualatin....
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=167473
I have always been board limited on this my Intel D815EEA2 has no options in BIOS and I had to clockgen in windows :(
The current WR holder for this chip used an Asus CUV266 which is a DDR P3 board, I was wondering if anybody here might no if that board is compatible with a Tualatin without mods?
I have a choice between an Asus TUSL2-M which is definetly Tualatin compatible without mods but is only SDRAM or the Asus CUV266.
Thanks!

Still on stock voltage for now as setting Vcore in BIOS produces no change in Vcore???
Got some mods coming up for it soon to sort that though :D
Bought a socket converter for it so it will work with Tualatin cores, which I am glad to say works with no detremental effects to overclock noticed so far, got a poor 1200MHz easily to 1.63GHz.
Will get pics up soon :)
hehe sparky that bios looks ok for setting
can you measure the vcore with a meter
sparkY1000
29-01-2008, 10:24 PM
Yeah I have done and it doesnt change at all no matter what I set :(
Found the VRM for Vcore though so it will get the vmod treatment soon!
Big thanks to Tom for lending me a few bits to get it all tested with though! Cheers dude! :)

486 keyring, Celeron 800, P3 667EB, P3 800EB, Celeron 1100A, Celeron 1200A, P3-S 1266, ?????, Celeron 326
What is the other one?
I think we will need a good pll hacksaw :)

Its a 486 which might work, hasnt been made into a keyring yet lol! PIII 600EB, 667EB, 800EB, 2 x Celeron 1100A, Celeron 1200A, PIII-S 1133 and a 326.
Just won 3x 866 PIII's to add to the collection trying to pick up as many 370 chips as poss for next weekend! If anyone has a quantity of PIII chips they want to get rid of for some points I have a very happy home for them!! :D
Lots of fun coming this way ;)

Hehe you would be suprised I am hoping for a few points from each processor, get enough processors and its plenty of points :D
Being the mobile version its possible that your chip is a low voltage model (like a G0) which should mean it would overclock further. So hopefully with 6 hours and some luck that would be about 14-20 points for this processor alone :D
I would be ever so grateful for it, if you dont need it of course :)
Edit: oooooh Dave!! I do love my 1100A's I could definetly give it a go :D would make 3 of them in total LOL!

Nice one sparkY..!!
I see you got 4th cpuz, 1st pifast, 2nd superpi and a 3rd + 4th in wprime. :D
And your kicking Tom's ass in the team rankings :p
Well done mate, but are you still waiting for 32mb superpi to finish.? :waiting:

LOL after 1hr 23mins of wprime 1024 finishing at 2:15am I thought I would leave 1hr 30mins of pi 32m until today :D
Forgot to mention the celeron 800 is on air at the moment the phase change was setup on a 600EB that was doing really well until PCI in the 48MHz (FSb @ 193MHz) range killed the hard drive :(
Got to go n get cracking :D

Been spanking me CUV266 again for more points!
Heres a Celeron 1200 breaking the magic 2GHz!
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=340157
Got WR pi, pi32m and pifast as well, just need wprimes
PIII-S 1400
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=340090
Got a good pi32m out of it but cant get any more FSB out of this board :(
Got a PIII-S 1133 and a few 1100A's to try as well :)

:D cheers Dave it was long enough coming!
Forgot to mention 2.3V for the 1400 at ~-40C maybe lower as well my DMM is the worst thermometer in the world and 2.1V for the 1200 around the same temp.
Not sure why my board wont go any higher than 167MHz FSB though, the chipset is already overvolted from 2.65V to 2.9V maybe it needs cooling or something??

Very nice dude :)
If you have a 1/5 divider working you could try a clock gen mod, it's death or glory tho...

nice going sparky,:)
Im having exact same problem as your orriginal post with a coppermine 1ghz on an Intel D815egew, only I cant find any clockgens or anything to work in windows  , any suggestions???:help: or should I just try find a cheap 370 mobo with bios options?

Try CPUFSB for the older chipsets...

:D
sparkY1000
05-04-2008, 02:01 PM
CPUFSB FTW! :D
The Intel i815 series normally use an ICS 950XXX family PLL I think in the CPUFSB drop down menu I was using the ICS 950508 for my intel i815EEA2.
I think I might have some pin mods for extra voltage somewhere, but I would definetly recommend a better board really, I battled with my intel board for a year or so before getting the CUV266 and although its not perfect its seriously helped me :)

Hi,
Yeah , thanx guys, I just gave it a quick try now and although it doesnt have my actual pll which is 9250 AF-51, it does have many other 9250 xx's . Unfortunatly though even with some of em reading the correct frequencys which is under clocked for some reason? 996Mhz @ 132 , when I tried giving any increase at all it just sent the screen black or all fuzzy???
Im thinking maybe its the ram been old and odd sticks or more likely that all the hardware is just too old and past it ? lol :)
Do you think its worth me continueing with it and maybe waisting cash on a mobo???
Thanx
Scunny!

Hmmm, its up to you really, the amount I have invested probably comes in at less than £50 for all my CPU's and the board so its not a massive outlay but if you only have that 1 CPU to play with then I wouldn't bother. The PIII 1GHz Cu-mine is hard as it has little headroom because its a 133MHz FSB part although good cooling and plenty of volts will help, you will be lucky to get more than 1.2GHz out of it think just short of 1.5GHz is the WR for it.

Just uploaded a wprime32m score for the Celeron 1200 at 1952MHz which pushes me over 100 points! Unfortunately wprime doesnt want to run again so I cant get a wprime 1024m :(

Just nabbed a celeron 1300 on ebay for about £4, another tualatin to add to the collection not long and I will have them all! :D
Edit: got a PIII celeron 600MHz as well now :)
Edit2: and a PIII celeron 850MHz

On the way to my house shortly are Celeron 600, 633, 667, 700, 733 and 766 all 66FSB. Got 850, 900 and 1100 100FSB Cu-mines, 1000, 1300 and 2x 1400 Tualatins.
So I now have every Tualatin Celeron ever made, and heading towards most of the skt370 PIII made :D

Having a bit of a play today after bumping off uni work, think I have killed my first CPU :(
Was playing with the 1100Cu-mine and it was being all kinds of crazy think the BH-5 doesnt like playing at 100FSB after some fiddling got it going and was putting the phase on it, dont think the mount was good cos after a few secs of 2.3V it locks up I restarted and nothing multimeter shows Vcore as 0V :(
Got the 900Cu and 850Cu going and having some fun got some points for the 900 and 850 although the 850 required 2.5V to do it  :D :D
Gonna try with the 1300 Tualatin this evening might get hardware junkie medal today if all goes well :D

The lug I use to attach my phase onto the socket adapter for my Tualatins has just broken off!! almost broke my suction line I think!
So no more benching until I can epoxy it up :(
