Need some input to a problem I currently have:
P5k3 ddr3 mb all volt mods, by persivore, bios 1001
6600 go
Ddr3 Super talent
Water cooled at present, just getting it ready for sub zero the weekend

When booting from cold, no problem goes straight through and loads os, do a restart and again goes through and loads os.
Do a restart and enter bios change anything, exit without saving and boots os. So appears fine.

Do restart enter bios and change anything ie increase vcore from 1,500 to 1.5125 save and exit machine restarts and will not go through bios just hangs.

Switch off power for 15 sec, switch on and boot into os no problem go to bios and changes previously made are set in bios.

So any changes in bios needs to be saved, wont boot first time has to have cold boot, to start properly

Another point I noticed have the vcore set at 1.5volt, my fluke reads 1.5v on cold boot but only 1.3v when change in bios is made during its warm boot.

Hope I’ve explained it for you to understand, its driving me crazy at this moment

The reduced Vcore on warmboot would seem to be a reason for it refusing to boot, why it is doing that I've got no idea.

well thats 2 of us now, cheers
someone may have answer, just looking at changing the bios back to what it was, may be the clue

Just droped the bios back to 810

has made no differance to the problem

Just a thought - maybe making sure that the VR connections have not been disturbed.contaminated during transit.

sounds more like a hardware problem than bios, probably a flaw in the power circuitry, should try and get in touch with the manufacturer.

Having a bit of luck, just been and bought a usb Keyboard plugged it in and can now make changes in bios and save and warm boot. Wont say any more yet, but been running for an hour now with many visits to bios saving and rebooting.

Any thoughts as to why this could have been the cause, previously using wireless keyboard and mouse, now using usb kb and usb mouse

Weird, try a wired PS2 KB and see if the same is the case then.

Good news though, here's hoping that the issue is resolved.

out of interest what are your VTT and NB voltages ?

VTT?

Which one is that?

out of interest what are your VTT and NB voltages ?
Vcore 1.452
Dimm 2.0
Vmch 1.625
fsb 1.459
pll1.675

Now moved on a bit, its been running now 3 hours, Qx9650 is now running and were still on water @4500mhz trying memory timmings

But fsb tops out at 393 with 11.5 multi, 380 with 12

VTT?

Which one is that?

System Bus Input Supply Voltage, often referenced as FSB termination voltage (VFSB) simply the voltage the fsb is running on. logic levels on the fsb are relative to this voltage. higher vtt results in higher logiclevels and thus in increased noise ratios. increasing vtt might help overclocking.
