View Full Version : Condenstion with rads outside?

I know someone that has all there WC rads outside, and with that they get cpu temps of around 5 degrees....
They dont seem to get condesation though, why is that?

Assuming the room is well ventilated I don't think he would have an issue, unless he's got a humidifier in there as well.

ooh, so i can put my rads outside and shouldnt get a prob with condenstaion?
After all, for internally its sub ambient, say 20 degrees inside...

Yeah that's why as long as his room is ventilated even if the air is cooled to the same temperature outside it should still have the same moisture content. Even if dew forms outside the heat from the PC should do enough to keep it above the dew point inside.

cool, i might end up doing this myself then... worth putting something round cpu area to stop moisture damaging mobo?

Put some dialectric grease /liquid electrical tape on the mobo just in case. If you go below ambient you will get condensation. Its also worth putting Anti Freeze in your loop for the winter months.

cool, cheers for the advice, thats what i thought with condensation, but theyve got into the minuses and the pcs fine...
