Sounds good may cause more people to get a physX card :)

This could be very good the two companys together. But i would also be surprised to see anything monumental come from it straight away. I can see drivers coming later on so the two work together nicely.

alot further down the line could this not mean implementation of a physics processor on the same board as the gpu?
Interesting...
I wonder if nVidia will go down the route of integrating the pyshics processing into their graphics cards, or whether they'll try and introduce their own PCI-E 1x PhysX cards.
I know which route i'd prefer them to go down...

I imagine that they will offer integrated PhysX chips with their graphics cards (probably still offer the add-on solution too). This is a good move for both companies as nVidia (with their market presence and bulk) will be able to push it further and to more mainstream use. On the other hand, nVidia have been stuggling to get their DX10 drivers right, imagine them having to write drivers for this too!

My only concern is a dual card (physX and gpu) will result in a new even more unreachable price point for most of us.:(

I certainly hope so - I cant stand the thought of standalone cards, but having said that, if that does happen, where does it leave AMD?
How much Will a physix license be for them to manufacture, knowing what I know about people like Siemens with their PLC controllers, AMD will probably only have access to previous generation technology and always be 6-12months behind in terms of the technology available to them to work with.
Not much came of Nvidia purchase of the chipset manufacturer (ULi?) did it? IF it did, why are the current and upcoming offerings from Nvidia so poor?

That is a possibility; sometimes companies buy other assets just to stop competition from using them - it happens all the time with technology patents etc...
Although, in this case I would assume that nVidia bought them to utilise and further develop the physics (PhysX) technology.

I think they did this so that they could continue with putting physcis on their graphics cards - they want to release the software to ATi as well, so developers are convinced to use the software, in order to combat Intel and Havok.

I think that's closer to the truth. I wonder if it's to create some combined Architure / GPu that can deal with both and perhaps.
