It seems that one of our beloved benchmarks is about to be killed off. The self proclaimed Rolph Nader of Beching, the moral watchdog who speaks for us all. Even when we don't want him too. Has decided that the PCMark05 bench can not be policed correctly and because of this it needs to be removed from HWBOT.

This is my view.
I really don't mind one way or another as I have only done this benchmark once. But if this bench has to go because of the lack of consistent moderation then sadly most of the early Futuremark benchmarks need to go too. I mean 03, o5 and 06. I do not bother to report results any more even when it is clear to me that a speed hack has been used. Reported results were simply approved by the moderators. PiFast can be and is blatantly cheated on by many of the so called top 50 global scores. Some of the claimed efficiencies are beyond belief even with extreme tweaking. A known problem with policing that benchmark is how easy it is to cheat at it. My point is consistency across the benchmarks. Toss one into the garbage because you can not police it then toss all that are not possible of being policed.
